We are a local not-for-profit film club who screen films in West End, Esher and our members come from villages in the area. We screen art-house films every three weeks between September and April. The Club was started in March 2009 by film enthusiasts headed by Robin Crane. Our first film was, of course, Cinema Paradiso and since then we have screened an eclectic mix of films from around the world. We show our films in the friendly and sociable environment of West End Village Hall, Esher. After the film there is an opportunity to discuss what we have watched.
We started the Film Club 10 years ago and whilst taking the usual Summer break from films are also thinking about the future of running the club. We have had a great time selecting and screening films and made many new friends in the area. We feel it is a good time to hand the baton over to someone else and would be interested in hearing from past and current members who might be interested in taking it on.
