A gentle and eccentric film set in two parts. The film starts in modern day Lisbon and then we go to colonial Africa – representing perhaps a version of Paradise and one of a place after the loss of Paradise. Aurora is a bad tempered and impulsive woman who goes on walkabout from her home to go gambling. She used to be a famous game-hunter in her day and as her health deteriorates her story unfolds, the tale of a delirious and dangerous affair with her husband’s best friend.

The film won Silver Condor Award for Best Ibero-American Film and the Fipresci International Critics Award
