A sand-blasted tale of survival, loyalty and betrayal as seen through the eyes of Theeb, a young Bedouin. Set in a remote part of the Ottoman Empire at the start of WW1 and filmed in Jordan. The actors are real-life nomadic tribesmen who claimed they prefered hunting to acting. Abu Nowar called his debut feature film a Bedouin Western and it won him the Orizzonti Award for Best Director.
